Scallops Wrapped In…
Well my scallops aren’t wrapped in anything but I’m wrapped in them!
After my previous post about my ill fitting bodice I had to practice my least favorite stitch – the frog. “Rippit Rippit” I shortened the bodice by a couple inches, took in the sides by an inch or so and fixed up the darts. I nixed the pockets because they threw off the pattern on the skirt.
After all the work I am overwhelmingly pleased with my finished product.

Here is how the back of the wrap dress looks.
This boy and I rode our bikes over to a cute little historic square for these pics.
After all that work sometimes I start to wonder if sewing is worth it but once you get the exact finished look you were dreaming of how could you ever want to stop?

Wow, you really improved the fit of this dress. I love the wrap style, scallop detail on the neckline and your color choice. I hope you enjoy every moment of wearing it. Great job!!!
Wow! Your adjustments made a huge improvement on an already cute dress. What pattern were you using for the wrap dress? Love the scallops in the neckline, and low V back neckline is a nice surprise. I wonder how the dress would look with scallops in the hem — a tad too much?
I’m not surprised you’re pleased with this dress, it’s really beautiful! Good job getting such a perfect fit ;o)
The last pic says it all!
I. LOVE. YOUR. DRESS. The adjustments are absolutely fantastic and the dress fits you perfectly!!! Well done!
That first photo is fantastic! And your dress looks fabulous, too.

Oh my lord, I love this! The fit is perfect and it’s so cute and vintage but completely wearable! Well done, too adorable for words.
My goodness, what a beauty! I love how the pattern on the fabric and the color really stand out in combination with the very simple silhouette of the dress!

I’m obsessed with this dress. The fabric is perfect and those scallops are darling! Love it and so excited that you’re back to blogging a bit
That looks great! I love the v neck with scallops, I have never thought of that before!
What an adorable dress and the scallops are just perfect, especially with that fabric.
I’m also amazed at your ability to ride a bike while in a dress. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do the same without getting arrested for indecent exposure
The dress came out beautiful! I love the fabric, but I am a total sucker for polka dots
I love your sewing. You’re quite inspirational for me.

Wow, what a lovely dress! You sure improved the fit from the previous post. Visiting your blog always reminds me that I NEED to learn how to sew. And to sew with vintage patterns. The stuff you make is too cute.

This is a seriously beautiful dress! So simple and so perfect. I hope you get years and years of wear from it
