Zooin’ It Right
Look at me go – I made a shirt and even took pictures of it! Hurray!
The shirt was made from Simplicity 2154 which is one of Simplicity’s retro print patterns. This was such a great pattern and I sewed it up without any fit issues!
For the memorial day weekend we headed out to Phoenix’s Wildlife World Zoo which made for a fun day with animals and friends. I wore my new top with a pair of shorts I made last year.
This was a fun to make a project and have it turn out so simply and quickly. Here’s a closeup of the print which was a thrift store find!
This project has gotten me on a sewing roll – lots more projects to come soon! I also am looking forward to trying the skirt and cardigan from the same pattern.

I have this pattern too and I can only hope that when I get round to making it, it will look half as good as yours! Your fabric find is awesome and I love the whole outfit…so retro and playful!
Absolutely LOVE this. Been on the hunt for a nice blouse pattern for a while now, this could well do the trick.
Just to let you know – not sure if you use Pinterest, but I popped this one on my Inspiring Makes board: http://pinterest.com/elenacresci/inspiring-makes/

the shirt is absolutely gorgeous! so so pretty. (: i would definitely wear this one, but it also look really cute on you – especially when being paired with that cute skirt (also selfmade!?).

Like the print, the big bow and the giraffe:)
