I had a super fun time sewing the Macaron for Sew Colette 2.0 and next up for October is the Peony dress!

I hadn’t been able to get really excited about the shape of the dress until I considered adding a full skirt to the simple bodice in place of the a-line one as the pattern calls for.
I think it would be great to add a contrasting color band on the skirt. Like this dress from Dear Creatures. Now I’ll just need to make the Anise in a sweet blue to match right?
The schedule for October is:
Week of October 1st: Sew-Along Kick-Off (Muslins, measurements, etc)
Week of October 8th: Fabulous Fit
Week of October 15th: It’s All About Fabric!
Weeks of October 22nd – 31st: Be Our Guest
Week of November 5th: Peony Parade
Who else is joining in?
P.S. The lovely Rochelle featured my Macaron in the parade on her blog and sent me this little badge to proudly display!

I love your idea of adding a full skirt to Peony (I actually think the A-line would probably be more flattering for me, but I do love a full skirt so). What’s funny is that I’ve actually ordered the Dear Creatures dress – I can’t wait for it to arrive!
GOOD GOD. I am like, in awe every time I come to your blog. Do you ever do commissioned dresses for people inept at sewing like me??? I’m serious. Like, please email me, haha.
