The General Specific

I picked this dress up at Buffalo Exchange a month or so ago and it was a bit priceier than what I usually spend on thrifting at $12 but I just love the ruffle at the neck and the print is pretty much adorable as well. Lucky for me whoever owned this dress previously already cut it short. Though they failed to hem it so I threw a stitch around the bottom and that was fixed but it still needed help.

The main issue? These ridiculously puffy sleeves!!!

Well cut them off.

It’s the obvious choice as the summer is approaching all too quickly here in Arizona… ugh not looking forward to 120 degrees anytime soon.

I wore it out in SF with tights a belt and my go-to brown oxfords but I wasn’t too fond of any of the pictures we took on Haight street so I snapped these this morning at home.

I can’t believe Im already looking forward to winter to come back around in Az.

How is the weather in your area?  Are you already sick of me whining about the heat?? haha

You turned it into a great summer dress! I wish it was that hot around here (Germany)…but I guess you get sick of it when it is that hot all the time :)

    @ Julietta:
At least it`s sunny- in Berlin anyways.I think it is meant to be sleeveless because now it looks like a put-together design. The puffy sleeves in the before-picture look missplaced to me. Great job!

  5. I love it! That neck ruffle is wicked!
