Restyle #1
So as yesterday’s post mentioned I will be participating in Project Restyle.
My first project of the year was of course a dress to wear for New Year’s Eve.
Here is the original dress -
A bit frumpy but lots of potential
And here’s what the finished product looks like
And here’s the best part of the dress…
Wearing something this skimpy and flashy isn’t my usual style but if you can’t do it on New Year’s Eve then when can you?
Check out the Project Restyle Flickr to see what everyone else is up to!

Fabulous!
What a great dress. Very sexy. It’s all beaded, isn’t it? Did you only shorten it or did you take it in as well? Are the beads sewn on individually? I imagine altering a beaded dress to be quite difficult as I’d be afraid that the beads would go all over the place.
I had to take it in majorly as well as shortened it. It was hard with all the beads. They had to be removed individually along the seam lines and yes they ended up all over the place haha!
WOW! Great job!
This is fantastic, you look great.
What a great find! Looks fabulous and I’m sure it was fun to wear New Years Eve.
holy smokin’ hot! i love it!
Wow, you’ve got mad sewing skills!! Love it. So inspiring.

OMG that’s amazing!!!!
Oh that is FABULOUS, GLAMOROUS, so so HOT.
This is simply fantastic! I’ve been browsing online all day to find some inspiration, so I hope you won’t mind that I saved this pic to my inspiration folder. I found a fabric just like that (just with silver beads instead), and I really wanted to make something out of it! This is simply perfect, what a great find!
I’m going to bookmark your website, and I’ll be back.
